Last night, I had a dream that jolted me awake. In this dream, I was sitting in my car in town with my window down. A random woman appeared outside and asked me, What’s your message to share? Without hesitation, I screamed back, If you don’t like your story, then write a new one! I woke up vibrating with energy, unable to sleep, and that message has consumed my thoughts ever since.
Examining the Stories We Tell Ourselves
That dream led me to question: What parts of my story do I want to rewrite? One significant story I’ve held onto is my metaphor for entrepreneurship—building a business as climbing a mountain. It’s hard, it’s exhausting, but the vistas are beautiful, and the journey is worth it. But what if I rewrote that story?
I started asking myself: What if success doesn’t require constant output? What if the hard work is already done, and now it’s time to receive the rewards of all that effort? What if, instead of constantly pushing, I became the collection agent of goodness, allowing everything I’ve built to flow back to me effortlessly? That’s the new story I’m writing.
Your Turn: Rewrite Your Story
On Tuesday’s Majik Mind, we practiced living in the wish fulfilled—embodying the vision of our dreams as if they were already reality. Today is a continuation of that work. Each of us carries stories—stories about work, finances, relationships, success, and struggle. Many of these narratives stem from our past, from childhood, from traumas, or simply from the grind of chasing our dreams. Over time, these stories become ingrained, forming edges that define our beliefs and actions.
Now, I invite you to take a few minutes to reflect. What’s the broken record that keeps playing in your mind? Maybe it’s the story that success has to be hard. Maybe it’s the belief that you’re not ready yet. Whatever it is, write it down. Word for word. Then, rewrite it. What’s the new story you want to live by? Words are powerful. They shape our reality. By choosing to rewrite your narrative, you begin to manifest a different experience.
